Our Story
The Rawlins
The Rawlins family first arrived in Malaya from Dorset, England at the beginning of the 1950s, falling in love with the country and its people. Immediately, we knew this was home.
My love for food set me on an early path to studying and obtaining a degree in Food Science and Food & Catering Management. But my initial cooking inspirations came mostly from my mother. And the story of Rawlins didn't start as a business but rather as a necessity for a family. Made for the family, by a family man.
Today, still lovingly handmade, the quality of the meat in Rawlins sausages are carefully selected exclusively from prime cuts, giving the sausages a wholesome meaty texture and taste. Definitely NO off-cuts or trimmings are incorporated in the products. We only use traditional natural casings to ensure tenderness and bite.
At Rawlins, we have a policy not to use nitrites or artificial colourings and where possible, we reduce the fat content as much as we can, without compromising on flavour.
In our traditional British flavours such as the Basic Bangers and Pork & Herbs, we use English rusk for authentic taste and texture.
Our product range inspired by our proud mixed heritage with the Peninsula, and East Malaysia can be seen in our variety of flavours.
At Rawlins, we cherish our History and our Tradition of quality.
